| Kevin Kantner | |
| Kevin Kantner, a Berkshire board member, player and coach, has been inducted to the Berkshire Hall of Fame on January 10, 2010. He was a member of the original Berkshire Red Sox team in 1990. He was among the first players to ever win a Regular Season Championship with the Optimist team, and was also a player on the first ever Red Sox Optimist and Berkshire Baseball team in general to win a tournament championship at the Tri-County Invitational Tournament in Berwick, PA in 1993. In 1999, Kantner was a player and assistant coach on the first ever Berkshire Red Sox Optimist team to win a League Championship. He played 12 seasons for the Optimists’ from 1990-2001. Following his career in the Optimist League, Kantner played 10 seasons for the Berkshire Red Sox 28-Over team from 2001-2009 and is still actively playing at the time of his induction. He has compiled a 121-83-3 record in eight seasons coaching the Optimist team and 28-Over team. He led the 28-Over team to Regular Season Championships in 2004 and 2007, and is still actively coaching. |
