1. Be a current or former member of the Berkshire Red Sox High School Fall Showcase team, current member of the Berkshire Red Sox Collegiate team, current member of the Berkshire Red Sox Optimist team, current or former member of the Berkshire Bobcats 18-U Fastpitch team or participated in a past Berkshire Tournament Baseball/Softball event.
2. Have completed or be in his/her senior year of high school and been accepted into a four year accredited college/university, or must presently be attending an accredited college/university.
3. Be in the top 50% of his/her graduating class with at least a 2.5 GPA if in high school, or holding at least a 2.5 GPA and having a declared major course of study at an accredited college/university.
4. Attend the annual Berkshire Scholarship Banquet in January.
5. Be trying out for or presently playing baseball or softball at an accredited college/university.

Selection Process:

1. Applications must be submitted to the Berkshire Scholarship Fund, Selection Committee, P.O. Box 170, Womelsdorf, PA 19567-0170 no later than December 1st of each year.
2. Applications must contain the following items:
   • Essay explaining what impact participating in baseball or softball has had on your life and how you may be able to use those lessons in the future.
   • Four references, one of which must be from a former baseball or softball coach, and the other three from non-family members.
   • Evidence of high school class rank, GPA and SAT score or evidence of college GPA and declared major.
   • Confirmation that the player will be trying out for or already playing at the accredited college/university that he/she will be or is attending.
3. The selection committee will review all applications and select the recipients.
4. Awards will be presented at the annual Berkshire Baseball Scholarship Banquet in January.
